Trump is always using twitter, basically demoralizing the role of the President and how media is being used. He's always lying and bringing up conspiracy, which makes him a liar and incompetent. Through my composition, I decided to use words as the pivotal point focus of this piece, I used some words that describe President Trump like: Conspiracy, Incompetent, Xenophobic, Racist, Arrogant, and the list goes on. My view is that Trump is always ranting and screaming while using twitter. The twitter birds are coming out through his mouth as anger and the types of visual elements that describe him. This is basically how he sounds when he goes on twitter and decides to post something. Overall, my composition relates to the power that he holds and how he's being portrayed as the President in the US. Some of the tools that I used consist of the pen, eraser, magic wand, and the use of techniques like using the overlay blending mode and being able to move the color channels in order to get a glitch effect on it.

Reflection

This composition is suppose to be subjective to the audience, they can take it however they want, but my vision is mirrored by the type of person that I am. We tend to have different phases in our lives, the deeper we get into life, the more obscure it gets. The repetition of the portrait represents the cycle of life and how we tend to let ourselves go. I decided to have a little fun with the background, so I went with a pattern of black and white, and I decided to add it to create another dimension. The color used between the background and the one used in the portrait adds an element of contrast to the composition. The whole composition allows the viewer to have a balanced piece of art where rhythm is also being portrayed. For the tools, I used the pen, eraser, shape, and the color tools in order to complete my self portrait using vector shapes. I began by creating my vector shapes with my pen tool and converting them into shapes, then I used the color wheel to select a variety of tan colors to create some shadows and highlights within my composition. Then I used repetition to create a pattern for the background and the self portrait.

Momentum

Throughout this time on quarantine, I have decided to create a piece echoing the ominous use of spacial relations. I also wanted to practice some of my design techniques learned in my Design class an in my computer imaging class as well. I create this piece to signify what it means to have spacial relations in life during these difficult times. I used a background image of a sky as the spacial relation and then added the subject, I wanted to create movement to signify how we must move on with life. I added a stream from a rocket or a plane to add movement in my composition and used the liquify tool in order to create movement and distortion to the subject. Overall, this composition was more of a creative moment for me during quarantine and how I thought and portrayed these hard times into creative art. For the tools, I used the quick selection, magic wand, pen, eraser, paint brush, and the liquify tool in order to complete this composition. I began by removing the background from the subject at the jet stream, the I added an overlay blending mode to make sure they were cohesive. Then, I used the liquify tool with 100% resistance in order to manipulate the face and create movement with the jet stream.

Obscurity

This composition echoes the sentiments of real life and the intricate use of continuity within compositions. I decided to use two images and the practice of double exposure photography but in a more interesting way using photoshop. Overall, this composition is more obscure than what the audience might seem to think of. This image has no representation other than it's obscurity and innocence. In commonality, women tend to receive flowers, which can be seen as a social construct and is the simplest of connections in this composition. The use of continuity also adds to the mystery and obscurity of the direction of her eyes. The audience can perceive this to their liking, it's up to them to interpret this piece to whatever they want. I used the pen, quick selection, magic wand, eraser, paint brush, and different blending modes in order to do this composition. I began by removing the background of my images and placing them on-top of each other in the layers panel. Then, I converted the image into black and white and erased some of the image using 50% hardness. Then, I added the flower image to the background with an overlay blending mode and added a final art filter; oil painting.

Across Dimensions

I want to dig deeper into the meaning of the unknown and it's significance to our society. In this image, we can see the little girl walking towards what seems to be a portal, also noted as the Unknown, the surroundings around her seem to be appear old and unnoticed. The distortion of the portal also serves as an attention getter for her as she questions the importance of going in it or leaving it be. We tend to live life as an equation and as a an outline, we follow what others have done and live beyond that. Taking risks and going beyond the standard is what life should be about. Will she go in and explore the unknown? For the tools, I used the liquify, pen, eraser, magic wand, quick selection, and paint brush tool. I began by removing the backgrounds of all of the images except the image inside of the portal and the background of the composition. Then, I added the girl and portal with their respective amount of shading and highlights that were added with the paint brush. Finally, I added the liquify effect inside the portal to represent movement; just like a portal would move if they were to exist.
